With the newsletter, we inform the user about the website, relevant promotions, and us.

When registering for the newsletter, you have to provide an email address and name. This email address will be transmitted to and stored by us (or a provider as specified below).

After registration, you will receive an email to confirm the registration (“double opt-in”). By clicking the registration link you have given your consent to the processing of your personal data for receiving our newsletter according to Art. 6 (1) a. GDPR and we may process such data accordingly.

In case of registration for the newsletter, we (or our provider as specified below) may also store the IP address, the device name, the mail provider as well as the name, and the date of registration.

Use of ConvertKit; Transfer of Data outside the EU

The mail provider ConvertKit LLC “ConvertKit”, 113 Cherry St #92768, Seattle, WA 98104-2205, USA receives and processes on our behalf the necessary data for newsletter emails, in particular email address, IP address, device name. These data are processed on servers in the USA. ConvertKit is certified according to “privacy shield”. The “privacy shield” is an agreement between the European Union (EU) and the USA to ensure compliance with European data protection standards in the USA.

ConvertKit is a service with which the dispatch of newsletters can be organized and analyzed. With the help of ConvertKit, we can analyze our newsletter campaigns. When you open an e-mail sent with ConvertKit, a file contained in the e-mail (so-called web beacon) connects to the ConvertKit servers in the USA. This allows CovnertKit and/or us to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links have been clicked on. In addition, technical information is recorded (e.g. time of registration, IP address, browser type, and operating system). This information cannot be assigned to the respective newsletter recipient. They are used exclusively for statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better adapt future newsletters to the interests of the recipients.

If you do not want ConvertKit to analyze your data, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a respective link in every newsletter.

Details on ConvertKit and its privacy policy can be found here.

The data stored for the purpose of newsletter subscription will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from our servers as well as from the servers of ConvertKit after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes remain unaffected.

OPT-OUT: You can withdraw your consent to the storage of data, the email address, and their respective use for sending the newsletter at any time. This can be done free of charge (except for the transmission costs) and via a link in the newsletter itself or notification to us or, if applicable, to ConvertKit.

A web analysis is mainly used to optimize a website and for the cost-benefit analysis of Internet advertising.

Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google might transfer the personal information collected via this technical procedure to third parties.

Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is sent to and shortened by a Google server in the USA. On behalf of the operator of the website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity and provide further services related to website and internet use to us. The IP address transferred through your browser to Google Analytics will not be combined with other data held by Google.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by a corresponding setting of your browser software; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use all the features of this website to the fullest extent possible.

In addition, you may prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available here.

This browser add-on informs Google Analytics via JavaScript that no data and information about website visits may be transmitted to Google Analytics.

In addition, a cookie already set by Google Analytics can be deleted at any time via the Internet browser or other software programs.
