TFH #27: Daily Money

Many apps fight for our attention daily, from advertisements to promotional emails to push notifications.

Chances are that you won’t have time to browse through all of your apps on a daily basis.

But it might be worth it to make it a point to open some of your apps every day because there’s an opportunity to claim rewards that have a monetary value.

Obviously, these daily rewards won’t gain you a significant amount of money.

But if you’re going to be on your phone to kill time, you might as well take advantage of any rewards available.

Here are 5 apps that you can use to earn free monetary rewards every day.

1: Shopee

Shopee, the giant e-commerce platform, has a daily check-in feature that allows you to earn free Shopee coins every day.

The number of coins you’ll earn every day depends on how many days you’ve checked in consecutively.

  • Day 1: 1 coin
  • Day 2: 1 coin
  • Day 3: 3 coins
  • Day 4: 2 coins
  • Day 5: 2 coins
  • Day 6: 2 coins
  • Day 7: 6 coins

After the 7th day, your check-in streak will be reset.

This means you’ll earn a total of 17 coins every week, which is equivalent to S$0.17/week.

This doesn’t sound like much, and it isn’t, but if you want to earn more from Shopee, you can also take advantage of Shopee games.

2: Qoo10

Qoo10, another e-commerce platform, also has a daily check-in feature where you can earn Qpoints and a lucky draw ticket.

Qoo10’s daily check-in feature works slightly differently from Shopee’s.

It’s a daily attendance calendar where you get 1 lucky draw ticket for each day you check in and some Qpoints for every 7th day you check-in.

On the 7th, 14th, and 21st day of checking in every month, you’ll earn 10 Qpoints each.

On the 28th day of checking in for the month, you’ll earn 50 Qpoints.

This means you can earn a total of 80 Qpoints every month, which is equivalent to S$0.80/month.

These check-ins don’t have to be done consecutively, so you can afford to miss 1 day here and there.

But if you want to get the maximum number of lucky draws and Qpoints, you’ll want to check in every day.

On top of the guaranteed Qpoints you earn on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th day of check-ins, you’ll also earn a lucky draw ticket every day.

From the lucky draw, it’s possible to win Qoo10 vouchers and Q*coins.

Q*coins are a form of currency in Qoo10, and each Q*coin has a value of ~ S$1.66.

While it’s technically possible to win Q*coins every day, as you might’ve guessed, the odds of winning a Q*coin are quite low.

For reference, I usually only get 1 or 2 Q*coins every month.

In addition to the Qpoints you earn, that’s a total of S$2.46/month, assuming you only get 1 Q*coin per month.

3: Tiger Brokers

Tiger Brokers’ daily sign-in feature allows you to earn Tiger Coins every day, which can be used to redeem stock vouchers.

The reward for daily sign-ins starts at 10 coins/day up to a maximum of 20 coins/day when you sign in consecutively for 7 days or more.

On weekends, you’ll earn a random amount that is > 20 – the most I’ve ever earned is 32.

10 USD stock voucher costs 3200 coins, so you’ll be able to redeem 1 voucher every ~160 days.

Granted, if you’re earning Tiger Coins by signing in every day, it’s going to take you a long time to earn enough coins to redeem a voucher.

Luckily, there are other ways to earn Tiger Coins that won’t take too much time.

You can complete daily quests in the Tiger Brokers app to earn up to 60 additional coins/day, which would let you redeem a 10 USD stock voucher every 40 days.

For more details on this, you can check out this post.

4: Kris+

Kris+ is the mobile wallet app for KrisFlyer, which has a daily check-in feature where you can earn free miles.

By checking in for 3 days in a 1 week, you’ll earn 150 miles for free.

Now, normally, you can transfer the miles you earn from Kris+ into your KrisFlyer account which you can use to redeem flight.

But the 150 miles that you earn from the check-in feature every week cannot be transferred to KrisFlyer, and has to be used in the app to offset payments made via Kris+.

150 miles is equivalent to S$1, so you’ll be earning a S$1 discount every week.

5: Seedly

Finally, Seedly also has a daily check-in feature where you can earn Credits that can be used to redeem cash vouchers.

After checking in for 7 consecutive days, you’ll earn 200 Credits.

2000 Credits can be used to redeem a cash voucher of S$2, so you’ll effectively earn S$0.20 every 7 days.

Again, this isn’t much, but there are other ways to earn Credits with the newly revamped Seedly Rewards program by contributing to the community.

Leaving comments, replies, reviews, and publishing opinions are some ways you can earn more Credits with Seedly.
